Working with a leading Food & Beverage Consultancy company, we built and delivered an ambitious fermentation project for the production of rum in the West Indies

Solution
BCD got together with a leading Food & Beverage Consultancy to work on a rum production project in the West Indies.
Drawing on our experience and expertise in the manufacture of various unit operations, we designed and built Horizontal Fermenters, Juice Collection and Distribution Systems, Yeast Addition Systems, and a CIP Skid to perform automated cleaning of the plant.
During the 3D modelling process, which was coordinated with the project architects, we produced models that allowed our customer to evaluate space restrictions, ingress and egress routes, equipment layouts, and personnel movement, before the equipment was built or the buildings were finished.
The 3D modelling process was completed early in the project life cycle, which allowed time to make these evaluations.
